1. Scope of Service

• • 1.1 Role of New Explanation Psychology: Users acknowledge that New Explanation Psychology is an administrative tool used to register for mental health support, manage waiting lists, and confirm appointments.
• • 1.2 Clinical Provider: The actual medical and psychological care is provided under the responsibility of the partner clinics: The Student Doctors or Biking Doctors.
• • 1.3 Access to Your Medical Record: In order to assess whether psychological treatment is appropriate and to deliver care of sufficient quality, the psychologist requires relevant clinical information. By registering, you grant the treating psychologist access to your medical record at the partner clinic prior to and during the course of treatment. This access is strictly limited to information that is necessary for your care and is handled in accordance with professional confidentiality and applicable privacy legislation (including the GDPR and the Wgbo).
• • 1.4 Communication During Treatment: The psychologist may contact you by telephone, email, or secure chat to schedule appointments, follow up on your treatment, or coordinate care. Communication will take place via the channels you have provided at registration.
• • 1.5 Withdrawing Access or Consent: You may at any moment withdraw access to your medical record or terminate further contact with the psychologist. To do so, please send a message to your general practitioner via the usual communication channels of The Student Doctors or Biking Doctors. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out prior to your request.
• • 1.6 No Direct Access to Medical Data: The New Explanation Psychology platform itself does not have direct access to your medical records. Access to medical data is provided exclusively through the secure information system of the partner general practice (The Student Doctors or Biking Doctors), in accordance with their security standards and applicable privacy legislation.

3. Reachability and Contact

• • 3.1 Communication Channels: All inquiries regarding your treatment, medical questions, or urgency must be directed to your respective clinic: The Student Doctors or Biking Doctors.
• • 3.2 No Direct Clinical Support: New Explanation Psychology does not provide direct clinical support via this platform. Please do not send urgent medical information through the registration forms.

4. Availability

4.1 Operating Hours: The availability of your care provider corresponds to the opening hours of the clinic where you are treated (The Student Doctors or Biking Doctors). Please refer to their specific websites for opening hours and holiday closures.

5. Waiting List and Registration

• • 5.1 Waiting List: Registering via New Explanation Psychology places you on a waiting list for a psychologist. Registration does not guarantee an immediate appointment.
• • 5.2 Appointment Confirmation: You will use this service to receive confirmations regarding your scheduled appointments.
• • 5.3 Identification: To finalize your registration on the waiting list, you must complete the identification process required by the partner clinic.

6. Payment and Invoicing

• • 6.1 Payment Processing: Users acknowledge that New Explanation Psychology does not handle payments or invoicing.
• • 6.2 Billing Entity: All financial transactions, invoices, and insurance claims are processed directly by the clinic where you are registered (The Student Doctors or Biking Doctors).
• • 6.3 Rates and Liability: The costs for consultations are determined by the respective clinic in accordance with Dutch healthcare regulations. Users are responsible for fulfilling payment obligations directly to the clinic as per the clinic's specific payment terms.

7. Medication Policy

• • 7.1 No Prescriptions: The psychologists scheduled via this platform do not prescribe medication.
• • 7.2 Medical Management: Any medication needs or pharmacotherapy must be discussed with the General Practitioners at The Student Doctors or Biking Doctors.

8. Patient Responsibility for Information

8.1 Accurate Data: Patients are responsible for ensuring their registration file contains accurate contact information and medical history to ensure the partner clinics can assist them effectively.

9. Feedback and Complaints

• • 9.1 Feedback: We welcome all feedback regarding the registration and scheduling process.
• • 9.2 Direct Contact: If you have feedback regarding your medical treatment, billing, or the staff, please reach out directly to The Student Doctors or Biking Doctors. They handle all formal complaints and patient feedback mechanisms.

10. Startup Phase Disclaimer

10.1 System Integrity: As New Explanation Psychology is a growing service, minor technical errors may occur within the online registration environment. These will not affect the quality of medical care provided by the clinics, but may impact the digital scheduling experience.

11. Dutch Healthcare Context

11.1 System Alignment: This service is designed to work within the Dutch "First-line" (GP-based) healthcare system. The approach to referrals and waiting lists adheres to standard Dutch medical practices.
